Getting Bigger

This afternoon we found our second egg sitting in the straw in the nest boxes! This one was a very pretty brown and we could tell it seemed bigger than our first speckled egg…

When we held them up to compare, we discovered we were right! This second egg is considerably larger! It doesn’t seem possible that the same chicken laid this second one, too. I suppose I could check to see which ones are laying, but I’m not sure I want to know that  badly. LOL

The boys are already talking about how we should eat this egg. (The first one had been pecked and we didn’t eat it) I think we have decided to fry it! Yum!!!
