Hanging laundry is a great way to save money on your power bill. We started doing it when we moved to Phoenix and realized we had moved to a blast furnance. It was perfect for drying clothes! Unfortunately, our homeowners association had rules against clotheslines, so we hung it in the garage. But it was so hot, I could dry two loads a day!
Then we just kept it up after that. Most of the year we have to hang the laundry inside, but in the spring and summer... out it goes for some fresh air.
