Castile Soap Recipes

Here are two recipes for soap that I make in the crock pot. Here is the link for the directions on how to make CROCK POT SOAP.

Remember that these recipe amounts are in WEIGHT not volume. You will need a digital scale with ounces to do this. It is important to be exact!

It is also very important to remember to use distilled water at ROOM TEMPERATURE. Adding lye to water makes the water hot all on its own (lye is exothermic).

CC Castile

36 oz olive oil

6 oz coconut oil

3 oz castor oil

13 oz distilled, room temperature water

6 oz lye (sodium hydroxide crystals)

Favorite Castile

39 oz olive oil

3 oz coconut oil

3 oz palm oil

12 oz distilled, room temperature water

6 oz lye (sodium hydroxide crystals)

castille soap 04

Do you use your soap recipe in making homemade laundry detergent or do your soaps have to much superfatting to do this?
