Yesterday I got a box of pears from our local produce stand, Payton’s Produce. They were absolutely perfect! I didn’t have to throw even one to the chickens… :o)
I got 14 jars out of the box and am already looking forward to having them with a pot of baked potato soup and hot homemade biscuits…
soaking them in lemon juice and cold water really does help keep them white
